The community outreach team are here to be the voice for our clients – we walk alongside and support our clients to explore all the options available to them in their situation and to support each client to become empowered and confident to choose how they want to proceed in their recovery from domestic abuse
Community Outreach Support
- The work we do is highly personal to each individual, but our ethos remains the same in each case and that is that we are here purely to help each person recover on their own terms – we have no agenda of our own. This work centres on allowing our clients to feel heard by all those involved in their case and to ensure that they can explore on their own terms what recovery means
- We also have a duty of care to all our clients and their children to ensure that their physical and mental safety is prioritised, and all necessary safeguarding risks are mitigated appropriately as quickly as possible
- When clients decide to work with Next Chapter, they could be at any stage of their domestic abuse journey – they may have never been aware that their relationship was abusive, or it could be that they have been through the cycle of abuse many times
- No matter what stage they are at they will be supported in a way that is non-judgemental, supportive and is completely centred around what their needs are and where they want to get to
